Privacy policy
Effective date: 8 August 2026
TrackRyte is made by get-a-site.co.uk.
The short version: everything you log in TrackRyte stays on your device. We cannot see it, we do not collect it, and we have no server that could receive it.
1. What TrackRyte is
TrackRyte is a daily tracking app. You choose what to track (for example calories, water or a medication dose), set your own targets, and log values by hand. It is available as an Android app, an iOS app, and a web app.
2. The mobile app collects no data
The Android and iOS apps have no account system, no sign-up, and no analytics. They make no network requests of any kind. This is enforced technically, not just promised: the app ships with a Content Security Policy of "connect-src 'none'", which means the app is blocked by the operating system's own webview from talking to any server, including ours.
Everything you enter, trackers, targets and logged values, is stored in local storage on your device only. Deleting the app deletes this data. We never receive a copy at any point.
3. The website and web version
The web version of TrackRyte works the same way: your trackers, targets and logged values are stored in your browser's local storage on your device and are never sent anywhere.
The website uses Vercel Analytics to count anonymous page views. This records that a page was visited, but uses no cookies and creates no profile, and it never includes anything you log in the app. We use these counts only to see whether anyone is visiting the site.
Our hosting provider (Vercel Inc.) receives the standard technical information any web server receives when you load a page, such as your IP address. This is used to deliver the page and is subject to Vercel's privacy policy.
4. Backups and exports
TrackRyte can export your data as a CSV file so you can back it up or move to a new phone. That file is created on your device and saved wherever you choose. What happens to it after that is in your hands, we never see it. If you store it with a cloud service, that service's privacy policy applies to the copy you put there.
5. Data sharing
We do not sell, share, trade or transfer any personal data, because we do not hold any. There is nothing to hand over, even if asked.
6. Children
TrackRyte does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR and similar laws you have rights over personal data an organisation holds about you. TrackRyte holds none: your data is on your device, under your direct control. You can view it in the app, export it as CSV, or erase it permanently with the "Delete all data" button in Settings (or by uninstalling the app).
8. Changes to this policy
If TrackRyte ever changes in a way that affects privacy, which would go against the reason it was built, this policy will be updated and the effective date above will change. The current version is always at this address.
